Computer vision continues to be one of the most exciting sensors you can incorporate in your IoT project. In this workshop, Michael Rosario will survey a few tools to leverage computer vision in your next DIY Raspberry Pi project from simple robotics to augmented reality. We’ll explore open source projects like SimpleCV for python. We'll review using NodeJs for cloud integrations with Google Cloud Vision. Finally, we’ll explore object detection leveraging Google TensorFlow.

Michael Rosario is an experienced software developer, Scrum master, technologist and blogger. As a principal software engineer at Mercer Engineering Research center, Michael performed a study of the Microsoft HoloLens and various Android eye wear to help enable remote collaboration in maintenance environments. He has a passion for helping makers young and old learn through creative DIY projects. Michael serves as an organizer of Google Developers of Central Florida meetup.
