This talk will provide a brief introduction to ROS with a focus on the current state of ROS 2 development and the resources available to ROS developers. The talk will conclude with highlights of the various projects using ROS to accelerate robotics development.
Katherine Scott is the developer advocate for Open Robotics, the makers of Robot Operating System (ROS) and the Gazebo simulation platform. Katherine is the former analytics lead at Planet Labs and Strateos and was a co-founder of Tempo Automation and Sight Machine. Katherine serves on the board of the Open Source Hardware Association and holds a master’s degree in computer science from Columbia University. You can find her as @kscottz on Twitter
