The Internet of Things (IoT) phenomenon provides a huge opportunity for many players in all businesses and industries. Enterprises start to believe that IoT can also enhance customer relationships by improving quality, productivity, and reliability within the company. Many companies are organizing themselves to focus on IoT and the connectivity of their future products and services.

He is the recipient of several awards, including Distinguished Tenured Staff Award of 2013, Instructor of the year for 2013, 2014, and Certificate of Honor for Instructor from the City and County of San Francisco. Ahmed was named as number one tech voice to follow by LinkedIn in 2016.
