Internet of Things Security Foundation Bucharest Chapter Launch

Details
Calling all passionate of Internet of Things in Romania to join our conversation on how to secure the current Industrial Revolution.
Welcome to the inaugural event of IoTSF Bucharest Chapter.
We aim to build a community chapter dedicated on exploring the cybersecurity implications of IoT in the current Industrial Revolution. We will explore what is different in the mindset of a globally distributed network of edge processing nodes that control cyber-physical systems.
In the traditional automation control network, the main “gesheft” was that you had devices capable of performing real time predictable calculation based on a set of signals coming from a physical process. Now, in the new control networks, you have devices that can run predictive algorithms on neural chips and are connected in segregated low-latency, high-bandwidth, low-power consumption networks. This shift towards a software defined system allows for the flexibility requirements of distributed energy systems or complex manufacturing processes. It’s an even stronger shift as organization have been experiencing the operational cyber advantages of running your core infrastructure from the cloud. This means control centers no longer must be in a physical location, incurring the entire cost associated, but can run on private virtual clouds.
There are a lot of things to talk about, but first, we invite you to our launch event, to introduce each other, open a conversation and dare to push the change.
