  • Co-Founder of AI Safety Awareness Project

He will present:

AI Safety Awareness Project:
Giving the Public a Voice in an AI Future

Abstract

The capabilities of AI systems have improved dramatically over the last few years.

This workshop will catch participants up to where AI is in 2026 as well as where it might go over the next 12 to 36 months.

Through a variety of prediction exercises and live demonstrations, we'll talk about how the capabilities and risk landscape of AI has changed, what new capabilities may yet remain over the future, and just how weird the future might get in both dramatically good and dramatically awful ways.

Through the workshop we'll get an idea of how third-party evaluation organizations evaluate AI releases and how we can use this information to inform our own ideas of where the future might go.

Bio

Changlin Li began his career at the Systemized Intelligence Lab at Bridgewater Associates for 5 years before joining Vowel.com (now acquired by Zapier) as a founding engineer for 4 years.

Along the way he did a stint at the Recurse Center in New York City studying formal verification of software and then another stint at the Recurse Center with a focus on modern AI and AI safety.

He holds an A.B. in Mathematics with a Secondary Concentration in Comparative Religion from Harvard University.
