Tour the Can Shed!

We all know how much of the litter we pick up are beverage containers that should be redeemed for a deposit. Redemption centers like the Can Shed are making it easier to return those cans and bottles so they don't end up on our roadsides in the first place.

Join us for a tour of the Can Shed's new Iowa City location and see how simple it is to return your empties, and witness the fantastic machinery in action as it sorts, scans, and squishes the cans and bottles to be shipped off for recycling. We'll also hopefully learn a bit more about Iowa's Bottle Bill and how it helps prevent litter.
