Title: STIX 2.1: Why It Became the Default Language of Threat Intelligence Platforms
Abstract: Threat intelligence is only useful if it can be shared, structured, and operationalized consistently. That’s where STIX 2.1 comes in. In this talk, we’ll walk through a practical overview of the STIX 2.1 standard, what problems it was designed to solve, and why it has become the de facto format used by modern Threat Intelligence Platforms.
Over 20–25 minutes, attendees will get a concise introduction to the core concepts behind STIX 2.1, how its object model represents real-world threat activity, and why vendors and defenders alike have rallied around it. Whether you’re new to threat intel or just want a better understanding of the plumbing behind your TIP, this session will give you a useful foundation without getting lost in the weeds.
