The Journey of Starting a Norfolk Games Studio - Fireside Chat

Details

Thinking about what indie development might look like for you?

Join us in our fireside chat with professional studio Rubber Ducky Snacks co founder, Danny Kershaw, to discuss the newly growing Norfolk indie scene. Rubber ducky snacks have pioneered their own business model to craft their own space alongside game development endeavours in their studio. Whether you're curious about the work life of a local indie studio or how to fit into the growing Norfolk development scene, this session could be for you!

What to Expect:

  • A chance to meet fellow aspiring developers and prospective professionals.
  • A friendly, accessible space to speak 1 on 1 with a current indie pro.
  • An opportunity to air your concerns about funding, business ideas and project problems to other professionals and community members.
  • A chance to voice your questions and hear real, recent indie stories.
  • A bite to eat and chat with other local industry members.

About the programme: This event is a part of a bigger season-long series aimed to support the people of Kings Lynn and local areas by giving them a chance to speak to industry professionals. This is intended to give prospective developers and hobbyists access to speakers and resources they might otherwise not have the chance to connect with. The series in the future will bring multiple speakers from all areas of game development, such as voice acting, games journalism, level design and more to help broaden horizons and inspire.
