In today's world, we're often told to "define yourself" through our career, our passions, our personality. But is that really where identity comes from?
This Thursday at IQ Cafe, we’ll explore the question:
What defines you?

We will have space to discuss questions like:
✨ Are you defined by your choices? Your past? Your culture?
✨ Can your identity change?
✨ Are we even able to define our identity or is it something given to us?

All are welcome! English and Japanese speakers alike!

🕒 Schedule:
8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee
8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups
Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends!

What is IQ Cafe?
IQ Cafe is a place that wants to create a space for you to think deeply.
We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.

The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!

We have Bilingual events every Thursday night at 8pm in Harajuku! We look forward to seeing you there!

今週の木曜日、IQ Cafeではこんな問いを一緒に考えます：
あなたは何者であるか？

当日は、次のような問いについて一緒に考えていきます：
✨ あなたは、選択・過去・文化によって定義されるのでしょうか？
✨ アイデンティティは変わるものなのでしょうか？
✨ 自分で定義できるものなのか、それとも与えられるものなのでしょうか？

英語でも日本語でも参加OK！
