### 💼 The Meaning of Work

Why do we work? Is it just to earn money or do you find a deeper purpose that gives work its value?

For many of us, work shapes our identity, our purpose, and even our happiness. And yet, because work matters so much, it can also become one of the biggest sources of stress in our lives.

Is work simply about survival and success, or can it also be a path to fulfillment, meaning, and even joy?

This week at IQ Cafe, we’ll explore different perspectives on the meaning of work, and discuss how identity, motivation, and purpose shape the way we approach our jobs and careers.

Everyone is welcome!

🕒 Schedule:
8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee
8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups
Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends!

What is IQ Cafe?
IQ Cafe is a place that wants to create a space for you to think deeply.
We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.

The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!

多くの人にとって、仕事は自分のアイデンティティや人生の目的、そして幸せにまで影響します。
しかし同時に、仕事が大切であるがゆえに、人生で最も大きなストレスの原因にもなり得ます。

仕事とは、生き残るためや成功のためだけのものなのか？
それとも、充実感や意味、そして喜びを見出す道でもあり得るのでしょうか？

今週のIQ Cafeでは、「仕事の意義」というテーマを取り上げ、アイデンティティ・動機・目的が、私たちの仕事やキャリアへの向き合い方をどのように形作るのかを一緒に考えていきます。
