Where does Creativity come from?
Art, music, writing, technology, and innovation shape the world we live in. But where do new ideas actually come from?

Is our creativity the result of our biology? A product of culture, education, or experience? Why do humans feel such a strong urge to create, and what does that say about who we are?

This week at IQ cafe, our speaker will introduce several different perspectives on where creativity originates from and share their personal opinion. After a short introduction, we’ll break into small discussion groups where you’re invited to reflect and share your own thoughts and experiences in an open, respectful space.
🕒 Schedule:
8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee
8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups
Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends!

What is IQ Cafe?
IQ Cafe is a place that wants to create a space for you to think deeply.
We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.

The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!

芸術、音楽、文章、テクノロジー、そしてイノベーションは、私たちが生きる世界を形作っています。

しかし、新しいアイデアは一体どこから生まれるのでしょうか。
私たちの創造性は、生物学的な要因によるものなのでしょうか。
それとも、文化や教育、経験の産物なのでしょうか。
なぜ人間はこれほど強く「創りたい」と感じるのでしょうか。それは、私たちがどのような存在であるかを何を物語っているのでしょうか。

今週のIQカフェでは、スピーカーが創造性の起源についていくつかの異なる視点を紹介し、自身の考えも共有します。
短い導入の後、少人数のディスカッショングループに分かれ、オープンで敬意のある雰囲気の中で、それぞれの考えや経験を自由に分かち合います。
