What is this group about?
This meetup group in Luxembourg, organized by the Iranian Student Association of the University of Luxembourg, provides a diverse range of events for both residents and visitors of Luxembourg. We help Iranian students to settle here as well as try to make life more enjoyable for everyone by organizing Iranian-ish events. We warmly welcome Iranians and non-Iranians from all backgrounds to join us in our gatherings.
What type of events do we organize?
Some of the events that we organized so far are as follows:
- Nowruz: Persian new year's eve
- Chaharshanbeh Suri: Last Wednesday of the year in Persian calendar
- Yalda Night: The longest and darkest night of the year is celebrated as the victory of light over darkness.
- Movie screening (Iranian award winners):
- Barādarān-e Leilā (برادران لیلا): Leila’s Brothers
- Qahremaan (قهرمان): A hero
- Summer bike tour in Esch
- Psychology sessions in Persian for Iranian students for FREE
- Human right related events, such as inviting speakers from abroad to Luxembourg, human chains for imprisoned students, memorials, documentary screenings, etc.
Yummy notice: most (not all :D) of our events are followed by delicious Persian foods :)
