'Gnosis' is a Greek word meaning Knowledge.
This knowledge, however, doesn't refer to a mundane, vain, intellectual Knowledge, but to a true Intimate Knowledge of the Self.
A Knowledge of the different psychological and psychic states lived internally from moment to moment, as this is the first step to discovering the reality of our internal composition, what we have in excess and what we lack within.

Why...?
Very simply, this internal composition is the cause of all of our suffering, all of our pain, all of our emptiness ect ect ect
As a result through revolution, revelation and transformation of this internal reality true happiness, virtue, capacity and a Union with the Divine springs forth from.

The Gnostic Mysteries, are the mysteries or teachings in order to attain this Gnosis, this intimate inner Knowledge of the Self that leads to the Liberation from suffering and Union with the Divine.
