Hey everyone! 👋

The idea behind this group is simple: explore more of Ireland, discover beautiful places, and meet like-minded people along the way!

We both work remotely / have our own routines, and building a social circle outside work isn’t always easy. We realised we wanted to explore Ireland over the next couple of months, whether it’s a spontaneous drive, a day trip, or a weekend getaway. So, we thought, why not create a group for people who share similar interests? 🚗🌊

What’s this group about?

🗺️ Exploring Ireland every weekend or alternate weekend.
🌊 Discovering scenic drives, coastal towns, beautiful landscapes, hikes, and hidden gems.
🚗 Planning day trips and weekend getaways from Dublin.
🤝 Meeting new people, making friends, and enjoying good company.
😎 Keeping things casual, flexible, and fun rather than overplanning everything.
This isn’t a tour group or a professional travel service. We’re just people who want to explore Ireland and would rather do it with good company than keep postponing plans because nobody’s available.

We’re not experienced trip organisers either, so we’ll figure things out together, share ideas, and see where the weekends take us

We already have one car, with space for 3 more people. If someone else has a car and is happy to drive, we could accommodate another 4–5 people.

The idea is to keep the group small, ideally under 10 people, so everyone gets a chance to interact, get to know each other, and enjoy the trip without things becoming too complicated.
We’re not trying to organise big group tours — just small, fun adventures with good company! 🍀🌊

If you have a car and enjoy road trips, that’s a bonus, but it’s absolutely not a requirement. Let’s figure things out together! 😊
