What we’re about
This is a social recreation group that enjoys activities around Auckland while IRL streaming. IRL is a new filmmaking craze that is taking over the world and this group is about growing IRL in New Zealand, starting with Auckland. IRL stands for "In Real Life" and is where everyday people stream their lives in a range of settings, while chatting to people tuning in from all around the world.
IRL Auckland invites you out to join the IRL streams, enjoying a social day of activities that can range from hikes in nature to pub crawls, social sporting activities, arts, entertainment and more. Some outings will be free, others will have a cost. All outings will be streamed live on Twitch.TV, with videos on demand pushed to You Tube.
Invite your loved ones from around the world to join you on your day out, talking to you via the chat room from any computer or mobile device. All streams will be re-run on Sunday evenings for everyone to watch from anywhere around the globe, even when we lose signal while out and about.
Think of this group like a community club. It is primarily social, and we are out to have fun. Having any experience with filmmaking or streaming is not necessary. We run the stream and you just come along for the ride.
Can't make an event but keen to check it out? You can tune in from any smart phone or computer device (and cast to your TV) and chat with us while we're out and about.
