Loony Paddlers (women) will go from Pike Lk to Lake o/t Falls on the Turtle Riv

Next Wednesday we will have a joint paddle with the Pine Tree Paddlers, traveling through Pike Lake, down the Turtle river and through Lake of the Falls for the take-out. The forecast looks breezy but a tailwind, though much cooler. We won't mess with a carpool because we are so close to town. We will unload our gear at the little landing on Turtle Rapids Lane, to the east of the bridge. To reach the landing from Mercer, take Hwy 51 north about 2 miles. After you cross the bridge with all the construction, turn right onto Turtle Rapids Lane and the landing is about 1/4 mile, on the right side. By the way, there is construction going on the bridge. It is one lane and governed by a stop light. Please plan to get your gear unloaded by 8:45 am, as we will then set up the shuttle and hope to have everyone on the water by 9:30 am. The paddle is about 6 miles, so we should be done by 12:30 pm or so. The PTP plan to stop someplace for lunch after the paddle. Bring along some money if you'd like to do that, too. Businesses prefer that we pay in cash when we are asking for separate checks. Please let me know, those of you who are coming.
