Mercer Bike Fest & Loon Ride

Details
ICORE, ( Iron County Outdoor Recreational Enthusiasts) a 501(c)3 organization is excited to announce its Inaugural Mercer Bike Fest & Loon Ride Event. Iron County has traditionally been known as a motorsports mecca however in 2024 we made great strides in advocating the importance of adding more feathers to our tourism appeal especially in the area of the growing popularity of biking being the reason for a destination vacation. The Mercer Bike Trail Expansion Project completed a feasibility study in 2024 funded in part by a WI DOT TAP Grant to expand the current Mercer Bike Trail an additional 9 miles from Carow Park to WinMan Trails completing a 23-mile loop from Mercer to WinMan, through Manitowish Waters and back north to Mercer. The inaugural MERCER BIKE FEST & LOON RIDE is on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 in Mercer WI, Loon Capital of the World. It is the start of fundraising efforts for phase one of the Mercer Bike Trail Expansion Project.
Join us in our efforts by riding a 7, 24, or 50 mile route starting and ending at Carow Park. Riders and Non-Riders are invited to join us for music by Bret & Frisk, food, beverages, raffles and to learn more about the Mercer Bike Trails Expansion Project and how you can play a part in completing the loop. This event also kicks off the week of Loon Days with the 45th annual Loon Day Art and Craft fair held in Mercer on the 6th of August with over 250 vendors.
