This course is being offered through Northern Ridgeline Wilderness Solutions and taught by Chad Simpson . Chad has extensive and unique experience in both the backcountry and evidence based training development.
Course: This 5-hour course includes a mixture of classroom discussion, skills practice and scenario-based learning. The goal of this course is to help students develop the skills necessary to perform potentially lifesaving
first aid on pets in an urban or remote setting.
Course curriculum includes:
• Pet CPR
• Proper Emergency Muzzling Techniques
• Bleeding control
• Poisoning and envenomation
• Emergency transport
• Recognizing and treating hypothermia and heat stroke
• Disaster preparedness
• Preparing for an outdoor adventure with your pet
• Building a proper pet first aid kit for your adventures Upon successful completion of this course students will receive an internationally recognized ECSI certification in Pet First Aid and
Disaster Response.
Note: Pet mannequins will be provided for all training and exercises.
Please, do not bring your pet to class.

Cost : $100.00 per person.
