About the Event

The main focus of this meetup will be the talk presented by Semab Tariq (PostgreSQL consultant, Stormatics) titled "Explain Plans and Query Optimization in PostgreSQL".

Having a database running at optimal health is essential for efficient resource use and controlling operational costs. Query optimization is one way of keeping your database health in a good state and 'Explain Plans' are one of the keys to it.

If you’re experiencing long wait times for query results, then Explain plans can help determine why they’re so slow and optimize inefficient queries.
