We will be meeting at 7PM to talk about paddling in the park, but let's do a little paddling first. We will have our paddles in the water at the Riverbend Picnic Shelter at 5:30PM and paddle upstream until 6:20. We will then paddle back to Riverbend in time for the 7:00PM meeting. We will get to experience getting in and out of the river at Riverbend, which will be one topic of conversation for the meeting.
The current is mild and paddling upstream should suit most abilities, and worst case, you simply float back to where we started.
We will not be providing kayaks. This is a bring your own boat, paddle at your own risk event. PFD's are encouraged, and if you need assistance while in the water, it is unlikely you will get much help if you are not wearing one (as no one else will be wearing one rated to hold two people).
Be ready to paddle at 5:30 as we will leave promptly as we have a meeting to get back to.
