Hickory Ridge Trail Work

Please help the Friends of Island Lake maintain our great hikers-only Hickory Ridge trail!

We will be performing general trail maintenance near the hickory shelter. We will be cutting back shrubs and branches using Ego hedgetrimmers help is needed to pick up the debris and toss it to the side. I’ll also have the DR Trimmer with me in case it seems needed

Please bring gloves and small saws, loppers or electric hedge trimmers if you have any. Gloves alone is perfect.

Long pants are also a good idea, as there is poison ivy along/in the trail.

Meet at the Hickory shelter lot, the last lot as you drive straight into the park.

Cost: free, but requires state park entry fee or passport
