Fall Color Paddle

Let's take in the fall colors while paddling down the beautiful Huron River! This is a bring your own boat adventure targeted toward experienced paddlers.

You will have the option of a two hour trip ending at Riverbend or a 3 hour trip ending at Placeway. The river past Riverbend is maintained to be more challenging and requires plenty of boat handling skills. No fast water, just a lot of trees in the water, It is likely you will have to exit your boat once in this stretch and bump over logs a few other times.

1:30 - Stage cars - Have your boat off and be ready to stage cars at 1:30. We will take our cars to the take out points, and return with as few cars as possible.

2:00 - Paddles in the water - be ready to get your feet wet, the river is low and you'll need to walk out to the center to launch.

It is fall in Michigan and the water is getting colder. Please no cotton clothing and it is recommended to bring a change of clothes in a dry container. Life jackets are required. No alcohol. A waiver will be required.
