Internet Society NY's 20th Anniversary Celebration + Holiday Party

On December 19th, 1997, ISOC-NY was formally established as an Internet Society Chapter. Join us as we celebrate 20 years of working towards an open and accessible Internet for all! In those two decades, the City has progressed from 14.4k dial up to gigabit connections, pioneered public Wi-Fi and Open Data, been delegated its own Top Level Domain, and become a center of the digital economy. We salute our members, their colleagues, and fellows, who have worked long and hard to make all this possible. A few of our founders will join us to share some stories of the early days, while at the same time we will be looking to the present, including landmark projects such as NYC Mesh, and the future - we have exciting initiatives in the works for 2018!

The whole of the NYC Internet Community is invited! It'll be a wonderful evening with food and drinks. Come!
