Datameer provides an "Excel" like interface to data in Hadoop. It also offers a simple way to integrate multiple data sources into one central Hadoop based data-warehouse. This is all our of the box and requires zero programing skills and can be accomplished in one tenth of the time it requires traditional tools to do that. Recently, Datameer have announced version 5.0 and with it, the ability to run the background Hadoop jobs both as MapReduce2 (MR2) and in memory using Tez. The Smart execution engine chooses which technology is a better fit for each job.
