This meetup is all about production, together with the DevOpsDays TLV community. We all get it - managing production is tough and packed with responsibility, especially when you're juggling real-time scalability, security and privacy. In this meetup leading tech women from are gonna dive into production management, covering everything from incident management and resilience to ransomware and DR.

The event is led by women but is open to both men and women.

// A Battle Plan for Disaster Recovery in the Wake of Ruthless Ransomware Attacks, Shiran Shem Tov Melamed, DevOps Group Lead at Jfrog, Batel Zohar Tova, Developer Advocate at JFrog.

In the wake of ruthless ransomware attacks, organizations require a battle plan for effective disaster recovery solutions. In this session, we will present the possible scenarios of ransomware attacks, explore the preventive actions to be taken to avoid an attack and we will do an overview of the key elements in the DR plan, discussing the important assets, DR restore, and more. By following this battle plan, organizations can rebuild their foundations and emerge stronger in the face of ransomware adversity.

// Navigating the Chaos: A Holistic Approach to Incident Management,
Hila Fish, Senior DevOps Engineer

Incident management can be challenging and throw you curveballs with unexpected issues, resulting in data loss, downtimes, and overall money & hours of sleep going to waste, BUT! There are practical things you could do to make it a smoother process and handle it better.

In this talk, I'll cover the proactive ways you could take and incorporate into your day-to-day routine, to prepare you for a smoother and more efficient incident management process. This includes ways to keep up-to-date regularly on issues and changes in production, on-call handoffs, being a go-to person, etc.

I will also show the best practices I've finalized over the years that helped me get a clear vision of how to manage production incidents in the quickest & efficient way possible.

// True Lies: Building Resiliency in Data Pipelines Through Synthetic Traffic,
Sharon Gur, Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft.

In an age where data is king, the resilience of data systems is not just desirable, it’s imperative. But how can we ensure that our systems are robust enough to handle the unpredictable?
This lecture introduces the concept of synthetic traffic as means to fortify data systems against the unforeseen. Synthetic traffic, a simulated data flow that mimics real-world user behavior, serves as a critical tool for stress-testing and reinforcing system resilience. By exposing data systems to a spectrum of controlled traffic scenarios, we can uncover vulnerabilities, optimize performance, and prepare for the worst-case scenarios.
