Talk Description: Sherawn Jackson shares her nontraditional journey into cybersecurity, transitioning from a creative career in computer animation and the movie industry to roles in education, business, and nonprofit IT. A military spouse of nearly 16 years, she now serves as a Senior Information Security Engineer on Wells Fargo’s Offensive Security Research Team, highlighting how transferable skills, community involvement through WiCyS, and continuous learning can open doors for career changers and cybersecurity professionals alike.
