ISSA Los Angeles (ISSA-LA)

As the founding chapter of ISSA, ISSA-LA has become the premier catalyst and community resource in Southern California for improving the practice of information security.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cybersecurity organization committed to education, professional development, and trusted peer networking within the security community. As the founding chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), our mission is to strengthen the cybersecurity profession through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and leadership—supporting practitioners at every stage of their career while advancing the security of our broader community.

Events & Annual Summit

The Chapter provides various training classes and lectures for information security and IT professionals throughout the year, as well as at our signature annual event.

Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) International
ISSA is a not-for-profit, international professional organization of information security professionals and practitioners. Founded in 1984 by Sandra M. Lambert and Nancy King (with establishment efforts beginning in 1982), ISSA promotes the sharing of information security management practices through educational forums, publications, and networking opportunities among security professionals. ISSA has a presence in more than one hundred countries across the globe, with over 10,000 members.
