Istanbul Data Scientist Meetup

Hello Data Science Enthusiasts

Join us on February 17th in Istanbul for a talk on data science and networking with other data scientists and other professionals who are interested the topic.

SAS and Sabancı University will be co-hosting the day. Ismail Parsa, Chief Data Scientist of Hepsiburada.com, will be joining the discussion. Ismail has an extensive expertise in the field with prior experience at Amazon.com and Microsoft in US. Here is how he describes his work: "I specialize in turning terabytes of data into actionable insights and insights into business solutions/data products, delivered through technology. I support a large base of end-users on product use and online/offline program roll-out. I manage small but very high per-capita throughput data science teams."

Prof. Dr. Burçin Bozkaya, who will also be joining the conversation, is a professor of business analytics at Sabancı University and is specialized in transportation modeling and optimization, route optimization, GIS, quantitative decision making and decision support systems. He is also Director of Behavioral Analytics & Visualization Lab.

Tuba Islam will be joining us as well. She is an experienced manager of analytics solutions at SAS and she mainly focuses on predictive modelling, text mining, analytical life-cycle management and adapting SAS capabilities to open source. She has previously worked on voice and text recognition at an institute in TUBİTAK. She is currently working at SAS UK.
