l THINK IT IS HIGH TIME THAT WE GOT OUT OF ISTANBUL FOR SOMETHING A BIT CRAZY&FUN!!
Melen river is one of the suitable river for rafting sport activity in Turkey. Its geographical location of Melen River is very attractive for nature lovers and adventure seekers. It has vast forestry area, plateaus, waterfalls and natural caves.
Rafting course of Melen River starts from Dokuzdeğirmen Village and ends in the Beyler Village which is in Sakarya district, the distance is around 13Km.
It is named after the village which it flows through. Melen River born within the boundaries of the district Yığılca. It pours into Black Sea from the village of Melenağzı, nearby Akçakoca disctrict. The length of Melen River is 2,317 km². The distance from Turkey's the biggest city Istanbul to Melen River is 200km.
We will do rafting on the boats for 6 or 8 people. You do not need to have any experience or knowledge about it, we will have a taining before going on the river. The races, water games make this activity even more fun!
Remember to bring; swimming costume, shorts, towel, spare shoes. (the shoes you wear should be ok to get wet) and spare underwear. All equipments needed for rafting will be provided by them.
Schedule:
11:00-11:30 Meeting at the start point
11:30-12:00 Preparation (Dressing up Rafting Clothes&Equipment Distribution)
12:00-12:20 Briefing
12:20-15:00 Boats are on the stream!! - yihuuuu :))
15:00-15:15 End of the course (Changeable depending on the seasonal factors, stream's flow or the flow of the activity)
15:15-16:00 Shower&Getting Dressed - back to normal clothes :)
16:00-16:30 Heading back to start point
16:30-... Late lunch and resting
The package cost is: 77TL, as it will be a group booking they want us to transfer 27TL (almost 1/3) to their bank account given below, latest 1 WEEK before the activity date as deposit so they will not take other reservations. The rest which is 50TL will be paid to them by you when we are there. (PLS GET THE BANK TO WRITE DOWN YOUR NAME&SURNAME PLUS THE CODE WHICH IS 0034 when you make the transfer and LET me know). Actually it would be perfect if you could scan the payment proof&send it to me, so l know exactly how many we are and then l can start worrying about the transport :) )
The package covers the lunch, equipments, guide, individual insurance and the professional photographs. l highly recommend you to bring some food/sandwiches etc. since we will start the day very early and will not have the late lunch till 4.30pm. - l didn't choose the option with breakfast bec. the price of that package was 111TL!) Plus l recommend that you bring your drinks -alcohol etc.- if you want to drink, since l am not sure if they sell alcohol there. Actually some wine would be nice :)

PS: lf you have the following health problems at the level of stopping you from doing sports, you are not allowed to attend; asthma, heart&cardiovascular diseases, pregnancy

TRANSPORT
How we will get there will depend on the number of the people attending. According to the number we might need to rent a minibus/bus with or without a driver. A driver will increase the cost. we will share the bust rental cost&driver if we hire a driver. (we will need a driver unless some of you will be willing to drive the minibus/bus :) ). Or maybe some of you will be willing to drive there in your own cars and other attendees can travel with you. Surely the gas cost will be shared between the travelers in that car. lf this happens there will be pick up points (Taksim Sq.&Kadıköy most probably). We will decide about this nearer the date.
