While it is true that enterprises can leverage growing amounts of data, it is also true that a great deal of them come in different formats, separated silos, semi-structured or even free text form. Many problems that enterprises face today could be solved through natural language technologies, but building efficient natural language applications often cannot be hacked through sheer data quantity.
Enterprises need AI applications that can learn efficiently and that can be taught by people that do not have a PhD in Machine Learning.
Ciro Greco and Jacopo Tagliabue will show how a different approach to probabilistic ML and semi-symbolic reasoning can bring open endless new opportunities for applicative AI.
About Our Presenters:
Ciro Greco holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Neuroscience (MIT/Milan-Bicocca) and worked for three years as Odysseus post-doctoral fellow at Ghent University where he worked on multilanguage formal models for syntax and semantics and published in top-tier peer reviewed journals in Linguistics and Cognitive Sciences. In 2017 the founded Tooso, SF based AI startup backed by the Alchemist Accelerator and Kima Ventures.
Jacopo Tagliabue holds a PhD in Cognitive Science (UNISR/MIT). He was fellow at the Santa Fe Institute of Complexity and led the Data Science team of Axonvibe in New York, where he was busy building with his team a location-based intelligence platform providing consumer and place insights from GPS phone data and social meta-data. In 2017 he co-founded Tooso and joined as our CTO and nerd in chief.
Everyone is welcome! See you on the 7th!
