Everyone is encouraged to read the short book (in English, about 300 pages) beforehand to participate to the discussion. Coming without having read the book is possible, but just half the fun. One day, the Profesor ends up experimenting on the pampered and fattened Sharik as part of his research on rejuvenation, only for the operation to take a sharp and bizarre turn.
