Digital Wellington 2040

Details
Digital technology has the potential to transform the way citizens of the capital work, live, and play by 2040. It has the potential to make us more productive and to build a stronger economy and community, enabling residents to thrive. It also has the potential to help address fundamental collective challenges, such as climate change.
But will digital transformation be able to achieve all of those things? And will we be able to manage technology-related risks and challenges such as deep fakes, disinformation, and the digital divide? It depends on choices we make between now and then about what technological solutions are implemented and how.
