Microsoft Entra Internet Access is a secure web gateway solution that provides secure access to all internet resources, software as a service (SaaS), and Microsoft 365 apps. It offers unified access controls, which protect against malicious internet traffic, unsafe or non-compliant content, and other threats. It also facilitates easier and faster threat detection for Microsoft 365 apps and resources through enriched logs. Microsoft Entra Internet Access is part of Microsoft’s security service edge (SSE) solution, which enforces unified adaptive access controls, simplifies network access security, and delivers a great user experience. The solution extends Conditional Access with network conditions to eliminate gaps in defenses with holistic, adaptive access policies that converge Conditional Access, continuous access evaluation, and network security controls. It also modernizes network security by protecting against malicious internet traffic and other threats from the internet with a comprehensive, cloud-delivered network security toolset that includes web content filtering, cloud firewall, and other capabilities.
