Join us as we explore the extraordinary life of Julius Caesar, a leader whose ambition and genius reshaped the course of Roman history. Drawing on Adrian Goldsworthy’s acclaimed biography Caesar: Life of a Colossus, we’ll discover how his rise from daring general to dictator for life continues to spark debate and fascination over 2,000 years later.

Audience: For English speakers learning Italian at the intermediate level.

The Plan:

1. We will all read the presentation in Italian within smaller groups/breakout rooms.
2. We will translate the passages into English.
3. We will gather back in the main room to reflect on the reading and discuss our thoughts.
