What we’re about
Welcome to "Italian Food and Wine in Ireland"
This group is dedicated to gathering food and wine lovers to taste, celebrate, and learn about Italian cuisine and cuisine culture. Whether you’re here to enjoy authentic dishes, explore Italian cooking, or simply meet other foodies, you’re in the right place!
Anyone interested in Italian food and wine is welcome to join. You don’t need to be Italian—just bring your enthusiasm for great food and good company!
Group Rules and Expectations
To maintain a respectful, organised, and enjoyable experience for all members, please review and agree to the following rules. By joining this group, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following terms:
1. Contact Information
To ensure smooth event planning, members must share their phone number with the organizer. Event bookings may require additional confirmations or last-minute coordination, so it’s essential that all members are reachable.
Please contact Gianni at 0*8*7*2.4.6*7.5*68 via WhatsApp or sms or via Meetup direct message to share your phone number and if you have any concerns. If you’re not comfortable with this requirement, please do not join the group.
2. Email Notifications
To stay informed of group updates, members are required to enable email notifications from this Meetup group, including “Italian Food and Wine in Ireland” and “Fun Food Adventures.”
This is crucial for event-related updates, including any changes to time or location. You can adjust your settings here: https://www.meetup.com/account/comm/.
3. Booking Fee
Some events require a €3 booking fee to reserve your spot. This helps ensure that only committed attendees book, preventing last-minute cancellations that affect other members and the venues. While not all events have a fee, if you’re not comfortable paying this, please reconsider joining the group.
4. Annual Group Contribution
Running this Meetup group incurs costs, and members may occasionally be asked to contribute to cover expenses. While not mandatory, active contribution shows appreciation for the group and its community. If supporting the group financially doesn’t align with your interests, you might consider whether this is the right fit.
5. Respecting RSVPs
This group operates differently from others: RSVPs are a firm commitment, and we rely on members to honour them. When you RSVP to an event, you are expected to attend or, if necessary, update your RSVP as far in advance as possible.
While last-minute cancellations can occasionally be unavoidable, they are still highly disruptive to our plans and to the experience of other members. However, failing to show up without any notice is even more unacceptable. Just 1 or 2 instances of no-shows—or repeated last-minute cancellations—may result in removal from the group. Respecting RSVPs is crucial to ensuring everyone has a positive experience and to maintaining our group’s good standing with venues.

See all- La Strada - Pizzeria by ManifestoLa Strada by Manifesto, Dublin
La Strada by Manifesto is a cosy, pizzeria (run by the team behind Manifesto), recently positively reviewed by one of our members, Christopher, and its intimate dining room only fits four guests per table—so be ready for anything. The owner may simply push a couple of tables together for us when we arrive, but there won’t be any formal booking: we’ll just drop in, grab our seats, and dive into their delicious, thin-crust pies. After pizza, we can wander over to Drury Street for a casual ice cream.
No attendance fee, but our annual Meetup.com costs total €240—so if you’d like to help keep these events going, please feel free to chip in any amount via Revolut revolut.me/gianz64es ( @gianz64es ). Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!Looking forward to a relaxed evening of great food, good company, and some fun!
Please Note: Details may change (date, time, availability), so we appreciate your patience. We’re doing our best to make this a fantastic event—thank you for understanding! Apologies in advance for any inconvenience.
Support the Organiser: Due to the significant increase in Meetup.com fees (over €240), I'm letting you know that you can tip the organiser (Gianni! 😊) anytime if you feel like supporting our events.

This is not an event we are organising. I’m simply proposing this dinner because it looks interesting and very Tuscan in style—I’m curious about it.
The RSVP is only to see how many of us are going.
Here’s how the Happy Pear team describes the event:> "Our Supper Club celebrates local Organic Veg from our 4 acres regenerative farm. We take inspiration from around the world to show how delicious plant based food can be. Menu to be published soon!"

I will not respond to any questions about the event unless they are strictly related to our shared trip there. Please don’t ask me anything—just buy your ticket if you’re interested, and then complete the RSVP. All the information is on their website. I’m simply promoting their event.
