This group is for Italian singles over 55, in the Greater Toronto Area who are looking to make new friends, expand their social network and possibly find their special someone. See all- Festa D'Italia - City of VaughanBoyd Conservation Area. , Vaughan, ON
June is Italian Heritage Month and the City of Vaughan is hosting its first ever Festa d’Italia – a celebration of Italian culture and heritage!
It’s happening on Sunday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Boyd Conservation Park (8739 Islington Ave.). This FREE fun-filled day will include music, entertainment, performances, and so much more. Food will be available on site from various vendors, obviously for a charge.
Tony Monaco from Z103.5 Radio and Giuseppe the MC will emcee the event.
Entertainment and festivities will include performances by:
- I Cugini di Campagna at 12:45 and 7 p.m.
- a performance by Joee De Simone
- a tribute to Andrea Bocelli
- food vendors
- music by DJ Danny D, Mario Polsinelli and Bruno Monardo
- traditional Italian dances
- various local Italian artists and more.
Gathering Location:
Our group will be uniting with some of our friends from "La Dolce Vita Italian Dinner & Social Group" at the event.
Mirella, Organizer of the group, has a personal function and unfortunately won't be able to attend. We've agreed to have our members join together, and I'll oversee the event.- We will be gathering at 12 noon where the performance by
"I Cugini di Campagna" is taking place. - We anticipate gathering as a group from roughly 12 noon to 4pm , during this time members and or subgroups may break away and re-connect with the core group depending on interests and events taking place
- Unless we decide otherwise, the focal point to gather will be around the performance stage.
- Once on site, we'll decide where to settle in at.
- Feel free to make suggestions

Onsite parking is limited. Additional parking, including offsite parking, park-and-walk options, and free shuttle bus services are available and is highly RECOMMENDED.
Shuttle service will begin at 10 a.m. at the following locations: Al Palladini Community Centre (9201 Islington Ave.), Chancellor Community Centre (350 Ansley Grove Rd.), Woodbridge Pool and Memorial Arena (5020 Hwy 7), Woodbridge Public School (60 Burwick Ave.), Market Lane (140 Woodbridge Ave.), Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) and the VMC Library (200 Apple Mill Rd.).
