London Getaway: Gardens, Castles, Markets

We have all been very stressed with what is happening and I am returning to Canada in late April and then back to Italy in May, but I wanted to spend so relaxing time in London on the way and thought some of you might want to join me. This is not a structured tour, but more of a getaway with options you can choose. I have created an itinerary based on touring gardens, eating in local pubs, having high tea and some day trips outside of London. This is more of a friends traveling together trip with me as the guide. Here is an overview:
MAY 8 - MAY 16, 2025
Embark on a week-long journey through London’s enchanting gardens, grand castles, and vibrant markets, indulging in quintessential British afternoon teas and world-class theatre performances. Stroll through Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, and the historic Chelsea Physic Garden, before venturing beyond the city to Hampton Court Palace, Hever Castle, and the stunning Leeds Castle, each surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Discover the charm of Portobello Road, Borough Market, and Columbia Road Flower Market, where antiques, gourmet delights, and fresh blooms await. Indulge in elegant afternoon teas at The Goring, Claridge’s, and Fortnum & Mason, savor exquisite dining at Clos Maggiore and Dishoom, and unwind with drinks at historic London pubs. As night falls, be captivated by iconic West End performances, from the emotional grandeur of Les Misérables to the dazzling spectacle of The Lion King. This carefully curated itinerary offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and luxury, making for an unforgettable London escape.
Currently the airfare is low and a non-stop flight from Phoenix to London is $900-1,000. If you choose everything on the trip, I do not think you could spend more than $3500 including airfare.
