Join Patrizia for an enchanting virtual walking tour of Montefalco, one of Umbria’s most picturesque hilltop towns, affectionately known as the “Balcony of Umbria” for its panoramic views of vineyards and olive groves. As we wander through its medieval lanes and welcoming piazzas, you’ll uncover the town’s rich heritage in both artistic tradition and wine culture.
We’ll explore the heart of Montefalco, passing ancient stone walls and elegant Renaissance buildings, eventually reaching the graceful Piazza del Comune, where history and daily life blend beautifully.
But this tour holds a special surprise: we’ll also witness a vibrant local celebration, a historic event that brings energy and tradition to the town. The Quartieri—Montefalco’s four districts—compete in spirited games inspired by medieval trades, all leading up to the challenge for the Falco d’Oro.
The evening’s highlight is the stunning Gara degli Sbandieratori—a breathtaking flag-throwing display performed to the rhythm of pounding drums. In the glow of torchlight, surrounded by Renaissance architecture, colorful flags dance through the air in perfect harmony, capturing the spirit of centuries past.

HOW TO JOIN:
The tour will be hosted on Zoom. To register, you are required to enter your full name (first and last name).After the registration, you will receive via email a personal link to access the virtual event. To protect your privacy, your camera will be disabled during the event.
The tour will last approximately 1 hour. At the end of the tour you will be given the chance to interact and make questions just like a live tour. The tour takes place in English!
