Step into the heart of Renaissance Florence and discover the genius of Lorenzo Ghiberti, the visionary artist who gave life to the world-famous Gates of Paradise.
Join us for a captivating virtual tour that brings to life the story of a man who transformed bronze into beauty and forever changed the course of art and architecture. Together, we’ll explore the Baptistery of San Giovanni, where Ghiberti’s golden doors shimmer with scenes from the Old Testament — each panel a masterpiece of perspective, emotion, and technical mastery.
It was Michelangelo himself who, upon seeing these magnificent doors, declared them “worthy to be the Gates of Paradise.” From that moment, the name became eternal — a tribute from one Renaissance genius to another.
Through detailed images and storytelling, we’ll follow Ghiberti’s journey, his workshop filled with apprentices destined to become masters, and the artistic atmosphere of Florence in the 15th century, where innovation and faith walked hand in hand.
Join us live on Zoom and uncover the extraordinary story of Lorenzo Ghiberti!
