This virtual tour takes you deep below modern Rome to explore places that are rarely seen, yet essential to understanding its ancient past. We’ll begin with the extraordinary Domus Aurea, the lavish palace of Emperor Nero, buried for centuries and rediscovered beneath later buildings, a place of luxury, imagination, and imperial excess.
We’ll then touch on the mysterious Passage of Commodus, an underground route connected to the Roman emperors and the hidden movements of power within the ancient city. Our journey continues beneath one of Rome’s most famous landmarks, uncovering the Trevi Underground, also known as the City of Water, where ancient aqueducts and structures still channel water beneath the streets.
Moving into the spiritual heart of Rome, we’ll explore the Vatican Necropolis, a sacred burial ground beneath St. Peter’s Basilica, offering a powerful glimpse into Roman funerary traditions and early Christianity.

HOW TO JOIN:
The tour will be hosted on Zoom. To register, you are required to enter your full name (first and last name).After the registration, you will receive via email a personal link to access the virtual event. To protect your privacy, your camera will be disabled during the event.
The tour will last approximately 1 hour. At the end of the tour you will be given the chance to interact and make questions just like a live tour. The tour takes place in English!

Our virtual tours are tip-based and not free, they rely entirely on contributions from participants. This means we do not impose a fixed ticket price to join.
