Born as Pietro di Cristoforo Vannucci in Città della Pieve, Perugino became Umbria’s most celebrated artist and one of the most admired painters in Italy. For decades, his serene style defined an era—so much so that he was considered the leading painter of his time, a pioneer of Early Classicism and a key figure of the High Renaissance.
This virtual journey takes you through Perugino’s life and masterpieces, from his groundbreaking fresco The Delivery of the Keys, painted for the Sistine Chapel, to the elegant Madonnas that introduced a new ideal of grace and feminine beauty. HOW TO JOIN:
The tour will be hosted on Zoom. To register, you are required to enter your full name (first and last name).After the registration, you will receive via email a personal link to access the virtual event. To protect your privacy, your camera will be disabled during the event.
The tour will last approximately 1 hour. At the end of the tour you will be given the chance to interact and make questions just like a live tour. The tour takes place in English!
