Meet-up #11 Designers are facing upskilling exhaustion

In our 11th meetup session, we'll discuss Tabitha Swanson's article "Designers are facing upskilling exhaustion."

The article explores a growing feeling among creative professionals: the fatigue of constantly evolving.

Between new tools, tech bubbles, and algorithms that demand constant presence, the author reflects on how this ongoing pressure to "grow" and "stay updated" affects our mental health, professional identity, and the joy of creative practice itself.

Throughout the conversation, we'll raise questions such as:

• How did we become professionals exhausted by learning?
• Why does our line of work require non-stop evolution?
• What do we lose (or stop experiencing) when everything must become a "skill"?
• Do we still have time for the process, or only for the outcome?

This will be a space for us to think together about what's behind this collective feeling of fatigue and how it shapes our practices and expectations as designers.
