Art at Hand with the Denver Art Museum
Broomfield Library, 3 Community Park Road, Broomfield, CO, USThis program is ideal for curious adults who enjoy art, culture, conversation, and hands-on learning.
### Art, Ancestry & Clay: A Multigenerational Storytelling Experience
Join educators from the Denver Art Museum for an engaging discussion of artworks, followed by a hands-on art-making activity that emphasizes exploration, materials, and creative process.
This special session highlights three generations of women from the Naranjo family, whose artistic lineage and legacy are rooted in the ancestry of Kha'po Owingeh in northern New Mexico. Across generations, these artists have told stories through clay—revealing how this material connects people to place, to one another, and across time.
Participants will have the opportunity to reflect, create, and experience how tradition and contemporary expression intersect through the shared language of clay.***
