We are going to New Mexico for 3 nights at Ojo Caliente Hot Springs Resort. Guess what? They have a campground on property! Instead of paying hundreds of dollars a night to sleep in a lodge or cabin you can sleep in your car and get access to the exact same spa, restaurant, and property. See why I love car camping? Here is my Amazon list of my must-have's. You may or may not need these when you start off:

1. a comfortable sleeping set up. I have Luno and love it.
2. A heat source as it will get cold.
3. A power source. I like Jackery. I have the 500 which is great for me. You can get a spot with electricity if you want to make it super easy. In that case get a really long power cord and an electric blanket.
4. A light source. I have a few options but like these.
5. A USB fan.
