Wednesday, 16th July : Meeting-up at the airport, arriving in perfect timing for dinner in a local tavern in Skiathos town with local delicacies of the island and get a first glimpse by night.

Thursday, 17th July: An optional day trip around Skiathos island. We are visiting traditional villages and historical monasteries, of major importance at the local religious tradition, built in the early 1800s. Enjoying swimming in Koukounaries beach, soaking up its perfect beauty. Chances are you may have seen this name featured among the most beautiful beaches in the world thanks to its fine sand and mesmerizing crystal clear waters as the fragrant pine-tree forest hugging the shore, creating a unique synthesis of emerald, golden, and bright blue hues.

Friday, 18th July : Visiting the stunning, off the beaten main tourist track, Skopelos & Alonissos islands on an optional day trip with local boats where part of the Mamma Mia movie was filmed, renown for their unparalleled natural beauty as well as Alonissos National Marine Park, the largest marine protected area in Europe! While cruising around the island’s turquoise waters, keeping your eyes peeled for dolphins, turtles and the rarely spotted monk seal! We spent a couple of hours in each island's picturesque main town.

Saturday, 19th July : Optional day trip around the island to sea amazing rock formations, sea caves and beaches that can not be reached by land, swim in Lalaria beach, one of the most photographed beaches in the world.

Sundays 20th July : We are visiting Bourtzi, a tiny peninsula separating the old from the new port of Skiathos with its 13th century fortress, go swimming and enjoy the well organised beach bars with sun beds & music, offering the famous greek upmarket culinary experiences, 'as a local' on a mid summer holi-day!

Tuesday, 29th July : arrive in Thessaloniki. Meet-up in the city centre, refreshments by the seafront and dinner in the food haven of Ladadika area, indulging in local specialties and live music having a fun and lively experience evolving in the heart of the city and by the vibrant seafront.

Wednesday, 30th July: A walk around the historical city centre with Eleni 'as a local' to explore its UNESCO world heritage sites and exclusive flavours, retreating in sweet and savoury culinary experiences in hidden gems as we go and only known by the locals.

-Admiring the diverse architecture of the city, a fine blend of Ancient, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman civilisations, stopping over for photos and catching up with some of their well hidden secrets and legends.
-Sailing on a Pirate's boat on a 30 minute cruise from the White Tower, seeing the city from a different perspective while being refreshed by the sea breeze.

If you'd like to visit the important Archaeological, Byzantine & Jewish Museums, the upper town walls, inside the White Tower as well as other UNESCO World Heritage sights, staying for a day or two longer after our stay in Platamonas, is highly recommended. Further guidance and arrangements can be provided if / as required.

In the early evening we are reaching Platamonas by private transfer, perfectly in time for a refreshing swim, admiring the castle views.

Thursday, 31st July: Optional half day trip to picturesque Mt Olympus traditional villages. We are visiting Litochoro with Enipeas river where Zeus used to bathe, with an optional mild hike, visiting St Dionisios 15th century monastery and onsite museum, meandering in the cobbled streets of the truly photogenic Old Panteleimon where the Muses played as in mythology, with a local food experience by the byzantine church and the natural spring in the picturesque square of the village.

Friday, 1st August: Relaxing morning at your own time, afternoon optional visit (with an easy hike up the hill) to the 10th century Byzantine castle of Platamonas, beach time in Gallaria, a former train tunnel converted into a popular vibrant beach bar where the pine trees almost reach the sea, sea side meal on the popular beach tavern.

Saturday, 2nd August: An optional full day trip to METEORA, a renown UNESCO site, with breathtaking views, from the alien like sky high rock formations and the exclusive to visit, 14th century monasteries on the top of the rocks.

Sunday, 3rd Aug: Free morning to relax on the beach before departure unless you have chosen to stay longer in Thessaloniki and explore further.

We are spending late afternoons - early evenings on different organised beaches with all necessary facilities offering free loungers upon consumption and some of them water-sports, traditional sea side taverns & beach bars in a laid back atmosphere, enjoying the beauty of summer, recharging for winter!

The area of Platamonas is renown for its organic foods, natural healing herbs from Mt Olympus, raw honey and so on. Make sure you stock up for your remedies! 🌸💪
