Girls Only Glamping Weekend at Son's River Ranch

Let's go glamping and kayaking on the San Marcos River at Son's River Ranch! Glamping = Glamourous Camping. This is a ladies only event - sorry guys - so gather your favorite friend and book it before it fills up. I went to this place last year and it was amazing. Son's River Ranch is located in Kingsbury just outside Seguin on the spring fed San Marcos River - about an hour drive from San Antonio. All attendees will be expected to bring a bottle of wine that we can share over dinner.

Each insulated glamping cabin has 2 queen size beds, air conditioning, microwave, small refrigerator, smart TV, DVD player, Wi-fi, hot plate, cookware, blender, coffee maker, fan, a lighted deck with chairs, firepit, hammock, picnic table and outside BBQ grill. The site also has cabanas you can rent (did that last year - sharing cost was cheap), and we can rent kayaks for $24.99 and that let's you go down river all day long for that price (or you can use their tubes), the kayak journey down river takes you to the next camp about an hour paddle away where we get shuttled back to our camp site upstream. If you prefer to bring your own tube or kayak it is $19.99 for shuttle fee. We can grill dinner at our cabin and there are hammocks and a firepit too to use. Air-conditioned restrooms with showers are located behind the glamping tents. Parking is included behind the tents for 2 cars per tent rental. The river is gorgeous here - untouched and uncrowded. The cost for 2 people sharing one tent is only $113 each for 2 nights (Total is $226). Check in is at 3:30 Friday - check out is 11:00 AM Sunday.

I have booked cabin number 9 so book cabin 8, 10, or 11 so we are all together. My best friend and I are sharing a cabin. We will each have our own queen size bed. You have to book at the Son's River Ranch site below. You will have to pay half up front to reserve your tent. Your other tent mate could pay the balance when it is due. Each person will be required to fill out a waiver before arriving online.

1. Enter arrival date of 9/19 and check out date of 9/21
2. Choose Overnight Rentals - Cabins, Glamping Cabins & Tents
3. Choose Glamping Cabin - 2 queen beds (click on available - get quote)
4. Important! In green box where it says Air conditioned Glamping Cabin, click on drop down and select Cabin 8, 10 or 11 or it will assign you to the first cabin available. ( I have Cabin 9 reserved)
5. Fill out the registration form and pay half of balance to reserve your tent.

If you want to go, it is important to reserve your tent early to try and get ones next to each other. I am opening this up to 8 only. 6 spots remain!
