Chillin' at the Grouchy Goose Beer and Wine Garden on the Guadalupe River

Tucked beneath the trees along the riverbank, the Grouchy Goose has a laid-back charm that’s perfect for cozy moments and unforgettable gatherings. ✨ Whether you’re sipping drinks with someone special or celebrating with friends under the Hill Country sky, this place was made for making memories.

Let's plop our chairs in the water, and chill by the river! It is pretty close to paradise here. If you're hungry, order up some tasty food from Litia's Cuisine. Thirsty? Well then partake of some conspicuously concealed adult beverages from an oversized sippy cup. There is a full bar with great drinks at Grouchy Goose and they encourage you ordering from them so if you bring your own booze, don't advertise it. No outside coolers or alcohol are listed on the sign but they don't really police it well. I have been there recently and everyone in our group had sippy cups with alcohol. I think so long as we order food, they won't squawk lol.

They often have a band on Sundays and there is free parking in the lot across the street. Be sure to bring water shoes, a chair, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, portable speaker for music, money to order food, a hat, floatie or tube. If we feel adventurous, some of us may want to drive down to Lone Star float house at some point and rent their tubes to do an hour float back down if we get dropped off at BK's campgrounds. It's a fun short float that takes you through a small rapid chute on way to Lone Star. It's an option we can discuss while there.
