Uptown Art Stroll in Olmos Park Terrace
Details
Let's meander through this artsy neighborhood and check out the art of 80 local artists at 25 different sites at the Uptown Art Stroll in Olmos Park Terrace. I attended this last year and bought some amazing art. Because the artists want to make it easy for art lovers to visit all the participating locations, the Art Stroll will once again feature free pedi-cab rides between the different venues. They provide a detailed map of the art sites so you won't get lost but it takes up a good part of the historic Olmos Park Terrace neighborhood. The area is known for its Thurman stone houses if you are into architecture like me. Some houses even offered free wine and snacks for those attending.
Hours are Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 12-5. Olmos Park Terrace is centrally located near the Quarry Market, just south of Basse Road between McCullough and San Pedro, bounded on the south by Dora.
We will meet at the Olmos Park Terrace Community Garden at the intersection of Howard and W Mandalay at 11 AM so park close to it if you can. Bring snacks or an adult sippy cup if you like.
FYI: I uploaded the map from last years event to give you an idea of the area. Comfy shoes recommended.
