A Shameful Admission on my part

When I was in high school one of our favorite past times was going to the girls soccer games. Honestly part of it was bouncing pony tails mesmerize me the same way a laser pointer does a cat.

The bigger part of it was soccer girls are MEAN. They fought more than the football players did. I saw one girl break another girls leg and then when that girl was carried off the field, they all waved goodbye to her.

I never questioned why the girls got away with things that we couldn't. I was just glad they did. Now as an adult I realize how wrong that was.

Which brings us to modern day female gladiator battles. I have never been to a women's roller derby "bout". Tonight I was writing out my list of adventures for the next few months and I realized the last one in Cincinnati is Saturday night. So I am going!

It is general admission so grab your ticket. I have never been before so I have no idea of the layout but I will be around the main entrance a little before 5.
