As many of you may know, Meetup has experienced a lot of changes over the past two years.
- They increased the cost of running a group to $300 a year (the price they advertise is misleading)
- Reduced features available to organizers unless we pay for a Pro subcription ($550 a year)
- Reduced features available to the free members
- Using misleading wording and constant pop ups to push uneccesary MeetUp+ subscriptions.
All groups have suffered declines in events and active members. WWe will be discussing the future of our group and possible options. This includes possibly closing the group.
If you are interested in sharing your thoughts, join us IN PERSON.
Because this is about participation and people showing up for events, the only way to share your thoughts will to be to attend in person.
